Lonely Room

No one came to the changing room
when I was defeated
they didn’t want to
see my swollen face or shattered ego
to ashamed to show them
I was crying while
they stitched my eye.

Salesman

and just use now instead
makes it easier to keep track
and get lost
without worrying about numbers
I was never any good at maths anyway.
