Poetry: Submit up to three previously unpublished poems, each poem on it's own page. We are looking to publish all kinds of poetry, but prefer to stay away from clichés.

Flash Fiction: All flash fiction should be 1,000 words or less, please only send one piece at a time. Must be previously unpublished.

Creative Non-Fiction: All CNF should be 3,000 words or less, please only send one piece at a time. Must be previously unpublished.

Please only submit to one category at a time and wait to get a response before submitting again. If you have not heard back from us in two months, please send us an inquiry. Simultaneous submissions are accepted and encouraged, but please notify us if your work is accepted elsewhere.

Please incorporate all works into a single document. Your work should be submitted as a .docx, .doc, or .pdf. Include a short, 3rd person bio in either your email or document.

At this time we are unable to provide monetary compensation for your work.

If a piece that is accepted through us is published elsewhere in the future, (either in a collection, another journal, or elsewhere) we ask that you acknowledge Dead Fern Press in your publication.
